Beginning May 2025, U-M Health is rolling out improvements to its pharmacy software to make managing your prescriptions and payments more transparent and user-friendly, providing a more contemporary experience for its pharmacy patients.

The new, integrated software links directly with the MyUofMHealth Patient Portal, a secure way to manage your care. The new software will allow patients to use the Portal to interact with U-M pharmacy in these new ways:

  1. View details of prescriptions filled at U-M Health pharmacies, including U-M Specialty Pharmacy.
  2. Request prescription refills from our U-M Health pharmacy and indicate preferred pick-up or delivery details.
  3. Securely enter your payment method(s), including credit cards, debit cards, or FSA cards, to pay for your prescription(s)
  4. The software update is being made as part of a department-wide systems update and we are excited to offer even more tools in the coming months. Our goal is to make managing your prescriptions as simple as shopping online, while still maintaining the high quality and service you’ve come to expect from U-M Health.

U-M Health Pharmacy patients can prepare now by:

  • Signing up for the MyUofMHealth Patient Portal
  • Identifying preferred payment method(s) for prescription expenses. Preferred payment method(s) cannot be accepted until May 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates in future newsletters!
